Back 2 School Community Bash

At Uyoyaa Inc, we believe every child deserves to walk into the school year feeling confident, prepared, supported, and seen. Our Annual Back to School Community Drive was created from the understanding that preparing for school can be both exciting and financially overwhelming for many families. As a community-centered organization, we know that sometimes the smallest acts of support can make the biggest difference in a child’s confidence and success.

Each year, we proudly provide backpacks, school supplies, community resources, wellness support, family activities, and other essential services to help families begin the school year strong. From free haircuts and hairstyles to school physicals, educational vendors, food, entertainment, and youth activities, this event is designed to support the whole family while creating an atmosphere of joy, dignity, and togetherness.

For us, this event is bigger than giving away book bags. It is about showing our community that they are valued. It is about creating access, reducing stress for parents, encouraging our youth, and reminding families that they do not have to prepare for the school year alone. We believe it truly takes a village to raise, educate, and empower our children.

This initiative is deeply important to us because our mission has always centered around uplifting communities through education, cultural connection, wellness, and service. We understand that when children feel supported academically, emotionally, and socially, they are more likely to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.

We are honored each year to partner with local businesses, health professionals, barbers, hairstylists, educators, volunteers, artists, and community leaders who help bring this vision to life. Seeing families smile, children excited for the first day of school, and the community come together with love and intention is what continues to inspire us to do this work year after year.
